Overview
Our high-pressure die-casting cells produce aluminium and zinc components from prototype tooling through several-thousand-units-a-month production, with tool design reviewed for castability before a single tool is cut.
Every casting program includes a soft-launch validation batch — full dimensional and leak testing before we commit to full-rate production — a step that's caught tooling issues early on more than one program.
Process Overview
How a part moves through die casting
Tool Design & DFC Review
Part geometry is reviewed for castability — wall thickness, draft, gating — before tooling is committed.
Die Casting
Parts are cast on our HPDC lines to the qualified process parameters for that tool.
Trimming & Deflashing
Runners, risers and flash are removed and the part is cleaned up.
Machining (Where Required)
Sealing faces, bores or mounting features are machined to final tolerance.
Leak / Load Testing
Sealed housings are leak-tested; structural parts are load-verified as specified.
Final Inspection
Dimensional and visual inspection before the batch is released.
Quality Checks
What we verify at every step
Leak testing on every sealed enclosure or housing
Dimensional CMM inspection on first-article and periodic batches
Load/structural verification where specified
Soft-launch validation batch before full-rate production
